 Anyone who has spent time in the city of Branson, Missouri

after 1959 has most certainly heard of the Branson shows.

first took the stage in 1959, and is credited with starting the

 Since those first Branson shows in the 1950’s, the Branson

exclusively a country and western scene, in recent years the

  Tourists will also be able to find a number of dinner theatre venues among the Branson MO shows. The Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show owned by Dolly Parton and is perhaps the most popular place to eat in Branson Missouri.

  Tourists looking for a good play will also have a venue designed for them. The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead and Outdoor Theater is an outdoor amphitheater which weekly shows the play adapted from the 1907 novel by Harold Bell Wright, The Shepherd of the Hills. This novel is set in the Ozarks and is noted as the first story to bring outside attention to the Ozarks and the people living there. There are several package possibilities.
